Commissioning Service for Parish Nurse Ruth - Sunday 18th July 3pm - All Saints Parish Church.

Ruth joined the team in November 2020 but COVID restrictions led to a delay in her commissioning service.  We are pleased to announce this took place at All Saints Parish Church, Croxley Green at 3pm on Sunday 18th July 2021.

Statement from the Trustees - May 2019
It is with great pleasure that the Trustees of the Churches in Croxley Green CIO announce the appointment of Cathy as our Parish Nurse. It has been a long journey together to set up the charity and then to find the right person for the role, but we believe God has led us to Cathy and she is already proving that she is just the person we were looking for.
 
We would love to invite all our supporters to come to Cathy’s Commissioning Service at Croxley Methodist Church on Sunday 2nd June at 3:30 pm and to visit our stall at the Croxley Green Revels on Saturday 22nd.
 
There is also going to be a fund raising concert with a Rock Choir and band on Saturday 6th July- tickets will be on sale at the Revels.
 
We want to thank you for all your support so far and look forward to sharing with you how this ministry and charity are working to bring spiritual, physical and emotional support to the people of Croxley Green.

Nurse recruitment re-opened. Churches in Croxley Green CIO are looking to appoint a Parish Nurse to work for approximately 5 hours a week, alongside the local ministers and existing health professionals to bring holistic care to the people of Croxley Green. We have had some interest in the post, and at least one application has already been received, but if we can appoint more than one nurse this would be even better!   This unique role for a registered nurse will integrate concern for both the spiritual and physical well-being of the people of Croxley Green. Latest News We are delighted to announce that Croxley Green now has a new registered charity - Churches in Croxley Green CIO which is established to provide a brand new Parish Nurse Service for Croxley Green. We have a new website here www.croxleyparishnurse.org and a Facebook group @croxleyparishnurse www.facebook.com/croxleyparishnurse We will shortly be recruiting for the post so be sure to check the website and we will email supporters again when the recruitment pack is ready. Parish Nursing is an established mechanism by which Christians have demonstrated the love of Jesus by providing holistic care to people in need, regardless of background. Parish Nurses work with people of all ages and backgrounds, with any faith or none, focusing on the person rather than just a medical condition and integrating all the different aspects of health.   A Parish Nurse can: · provide moral support; · give general health advice and education; · ‘signpost’ people to other support or medical services; · pray for people; · clarify medical procedures or issues; and · simply listen (which they do an awful lot of!).
