The VisionHow the Parish Nurse fits in with existing servicesThe Parish Nurse project has been warmly endorsed by local churches and existing health services, including hospital nurses and local GP practices. A key point about the Parish Nursing service is that it complements, rather than duplicates, services offered by existing NHS and Social Care agencies.
Referrals PolicyThe Parish Nurses have space available to conduct private consultations at either All Saints Parish Church or Croxley Green Baptist Church. There are also a number of church-run local community cafes and other community facilities which the nurses may attend to provide advice and support to those present. In addition some home visits may be undertaken.

The CIO’s Mission Statement
Working jointly as churches and using resources both human and financial, we seek to develop a service which incorporates the emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of health and provide support to enable people to enjoy life in all its fullness. The Parish Nurses will offer care to complement but not duplicate that offered by existing health and social care providers. “With backgrounds in NHS nursing, Rev Lisa Kerry and I shared a vision for developing a Parish Nurse project in Croxley Green in fulfilment of Churches Together in Croxley Green’s aim to enable the churches to respond to the needs of the local community and to witness to the Gospel together.”
